1. Nature of Business & Operational Scope
Krishna Tours and Travels operates strictly and exclusively as a licensed contract carriage passenger transport provider and regional tourist taxi operator under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and the Kerala Motor Vehicles Rules 1989. All deployed fleet vehicles (Toyota Innova Crysta, Standard Innova, 17-Seater Force Tempo Traveller, and Executive Sedans) hold valid KL-57 yellow-board commercial tourist permits and comprehensive passenger transit insurance.
Strict Operational Guardrails:
- NO Self-Drive Rentals: We do NOT lease, rent, or provide self-drive vehicles under any circumstances.
- NO Local Meter Street-Hail: We do NOT operate as an on-demand street meter taxi (such as 2 km local auto-rickshaw or city micro-hops). All trips are pre-scheduled outstation, airport, and holiday tour hires.
- Dedicated Experienced Driver: Every journey is driven exclusively by our certified, in-house trained drivers.
2. Booking Confirmation & Fare Calculations
Bookings may be requested via WhatsApp, phone (+91 9846297902), or online fare inquiry. A booking is confirmed once our central booking desk confirms vehicle availability, driver assignment, and agreed baseline rates.
- Fixed Packages: Point-to-point airport drops (e.g., Calicut Airport CCJ, Kannur CNN) are billed on transparent all-inclusive package baselines.
- Outstation Mileage: Outstation journeys are billed on actual garage-to-garage kilometer readings subject to the agreed vehicle minimum daily kilometers (e.g., 250 KM/day for Innova Crysta).
- Driver Food & Stay Allowance (Bata): Standard daily Driver Food & Stay Allowance (Bata) covers driver meals and outstation overnight halt. No separate lodging surcharge is billed. Night halt allowance applies for journeys extending past 11:00 PM or involving overnight outstation stays.
3. Tolls, Parking & Interstate Permits
Highway toll plaza fees (FASTag), airport parking entry receipts, and interstate border entry taxes (for journeys into Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, or Pondicherry) are payable directly by the passenger at actuals, or billed transparently on the final Form TTFA tourist taxi invoice.
4. Route Safety & Operational Authority
For the safety of all passengers, the assigned driver maintains final operational authority concerning speed limits, ghat road transit safety (such as the Thamarassery 9-Hairpin Pass in Wayanad), night driving hazards, adverse weather conditions, or official road closures ordered by District Disaster Management Authorities. Speed governors mandated by the Kerala MVD (80 km/h ceiling) are strictly adhered to.
5. Luggage & Passenger Responsibilities
Passengers must ensure they do not transport contraband, hazardous materials, or illegal substances in violation of Indian law. While Krishna Tours and Travels chauffeurs assist with loading and unloading, passengers remain responsible for their personal hand baggage, jewelry, and travel documents.
